Dynacord has extended the scope of its SONICUE sound system software with new version 1.1, an update intended to make it more optimized for the specific needs of smaller systems and day-to-day applications.

With version 1.1, SONICUE now supports Dynacord L and C Series amplifiers and includes an update to its Electro-Voice loudspeaker settings library that applies to almost all current commercial, portable, install and concert models, such as ZLX, ELX200, EKX and ETX portable products and the EVID commercial family.

SONICUE 1.1 includes a firmware 2.0 upgrade for both L (live) and C (install) Series amplifiers, both offering onboard DSP and FIR-Drive. The firmware upgrade expands DSP structure to provide users the same level of input or user processing as found in the Dynacord tour-grade IPX and TGX amplifiers, with which L and C models may now also be combined.

Specifically, the user DSP block has been doubled to offer 10 bands of parametric equalization (PEQ); enhanced array processing functions that include five additional bands of PEQs and dedicated array delay. This enables L and C series amplifiers to be used for more complex setups requiring more options for system tuning and added flexibility when working (for example) with subwoofer arrays.

The expanded loudspeaker database allows users to utilize SONICUE software for a wider range of applications. The database includes all parameters required by the amplifiers, including crossover settings, EQs and limiters for optimized audio performance.

New SONICUE 1.1 software is available as a free download from the Dynacord website.
