DSL In The Netherlands Adds Martin Audio To Its Portfolio

Netherlands-based sound and lighting supplier founded by Ad and Gert-Jan Gomes enhances its inventory with WPL line arrays as well as TORUS constant curvature arrays.

Full-service sound and lighting supplier DSL Geluids- & Lichtverhuur, based in Schagen, Netherlands, recently upgraded its inventory with the addition of Martin Audio WPL line arrays and TORUS constant curvature arrays, both supplied by Dutch distributor Ampco Flashlight Sales.

“After the earlier purchase of the WPC system, the successor to the old W8LC, it made sense to move up to the optimum WPL, since larger festivals simply place higher demands on the sound,” states Gert-Jan Gomes, who co-founded DSL in the early 1980s with his brother Ad. “With double 12-inch for the low end, two 6.5-inch mid drivers for the total vocal spectrum and three 1-inch drivers for the high end in a fully horn-loaded cabinet, this system delivers an impressively high SPL. And thanks to the associated optimization software, we are able to generate the correct distribution characteristics and sound experience for every event.”

The TORUS systems have widespread application potential, he continues, “and we will regularly see them at clubs, corporate events and theatres.”

Ad Gomes concludes, “We’re delighted with our choice of Martin Audio and can say with pride that we are part of the Martin Audio family. The selection of these two new systems once again confirms our faith in the brand. Now, onto making some beautiful productions with these components.”
