Drummer Curt Bisquera Uses Audio-Technica Microphones

Range of A-T mics deployed for performance with Sarah McLachlan in Nashville

For a recent performance with Sarah McLachlan at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, noted drummer Curt Bisquera (Josh Groban, Mick Jagger, Seal, Elton John, The Beach Boys) employed a wide arsenal of microphones from Audio-Technica.

Specifically, he used an AE2500 dual-element cardioid instrument microphone on kick drum; an AE3000 cardioid condenser instrument microphones on toms; and ATM650 hypercardioid dynamic instrument microphones on top and bottom of snare.

Further, an AT4050 multi-pattern condenser microphone handled overheads, and an AE5100 cardioid condenser instrument microphone took care of ride cymbal and hi-hat.
