DELEC Launches New Dante Intercom Panels

At the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas, DELEC Audio (booth C7248), a member of Salzbrenner StageTec Mediagroup, will be presenting its first intercom panels that can be connected directly to an Audinate Dante network without the need for additional converters.

Specifically, the panels can be linked to the DELEC compact CS or modular MF intercom matrices equipped with a Dante interface. Three different panels are available: two 19-inch rack units with 12 or 16 keys, and a 16-key desktop panel.

The DELEC Dante interface supports 64 bidirectional audio channels or up to 32 DELEC intercom panels (or any combination of audio signals and intercom panels).

The DELEC Dante capability reduces the challenges of addressing the audio requirements when connecting studios and control rooms campus wide. All three models come with Dante primary and secondary ports for fully redundant operation.

Further, the ports can also be used to daisy chain several panels, thus reducing cabling requirements. As a result, these new panels are well-suited for theatre and broadcast environments as well as any application that requires long cable runs.

Arnie Toshner, vice president of sales & marketing for Salzbrenner StageTec Media Group, states, “Our new DELEC intercom panels bring Dante interactivity and single cable connectivity convenience to application environments such as complex broadcast applications as well as theatrical environments. With their wealth of features and intuitive design, I’m confident integrators will find them ideal for their various projects.”

The new DELEC Dante-equipped intercom panels will be available Q1, 2015.
