DcSoundOp First Look: PreSonus Studio 1810c Interface

Taking a look under the hood to see what the latest update to the previous Studio line of USB interfaces has to offer for studio and live productions.

In this video we’re taking a first look at the new Studio 1810c USB-C audio interface from PreSonus. Recently introduced at The NAMM Show back in January, we were there to see them first hand, and now we have one on the test bench to share with you.

The 1810c is an incremental update to the previous Studio line of USB interfaces PreSonus has offered in recent years. While the USB-C addition is more of an update than an upgrade, the 1810c offers a unique configuration of i/O when put up against similarly priced and positioned offerings.

A subtle but perhaps valuable feature for use as a utility interface in live productions, the [dc coupled] balanced line level outputs allow this interface to be used in control voltage applications. With six balanced line outputs, it’s also an attractive & lightweight option for anyone looking for multi-channel output from playback software such as QLab.
