dBTechnologies’ VIO Reinforces Landau’s Tropical Beach Festival

WS-Audio covers House & Electro Festival in German area Palatinate with VIO L212 and L208 line arrays over VIO S218 (Endfired) subwoofers.

The Tropical Beach Festival in Landau, a House & Electro Festival in German area Palatinate, poured several tons of sand onto the asphalted venue to provide the right ambience for the more than 5,000 visitors to the “City Beach.”

The beach party brought in acts such as Alle Farben, Gestört aber Geil, Hugel, EDX, Luca Schreiner, Steve Norton and DJ Olde along with reinforcement from VIO line arrays and subs from dBTechnologies.

Technical service provider WS-Audio with Sascha Weis – the main technical service provider on site, responsible for stage, sound, lighting, ambience, video technology and event power supply on the entire site – was extremely satisfied with the sound performance: “The artist’s feedback was very positive. Extremely powerful sound up to the front of house in a 35 m distance, but an almost “silent” stage. It worked so well that we kept checking to see if the main PA was really playing,” he comments with a wink.

The complete area was equipped with 2x 8 VIO L212 modules and 12x VIO S218 (Endfired) subs. VIO L208 were used as nearfills at the edge of the stage. Also the DJs on stage were provided with 2x S118R and 3x VIO L210 modules as stage monitors.

Deniz Aytekin – just elected referee of the season in Germany’s premier football league – also exchanged the whistle for the DJ-desk and created an impressive atmosphere during his guest appearance.
