At the upcoming ISE 2021 convention, slated for June 1 to 4 (2021) as an in-person event in Barcelona [Stand B-104, Hall 2] as well as presented online, d&b audiotechnik will be showcasing a range of its recent technology and product developments.

ISE gives us an opportunity to speak in person with the local Spanish market and deliver globally relevant on-demand content via our online presence.”
The d&b ISE 2021 Barcelona demonstration program will be held at live music venue and concert hall Sala Apolo, where two days of socially-distanced d&b Soundscape immersive audio demo sessions will take place. “For d&b Iberia it’s a pleasure to be able to contribute to the ISE Barcelona event this year, especially at a venue as important as Sala Apolo, which has been an icon of our industry’s commitment to the security of face-to-face events,” says Christian Orcin, General Manager, d&b Iberia. “Through our participation on the show floor and at Sala Apolo, d&b audiotechnik wants to be as accessible as possible and offer all visitors the opportunity to meet again in person.”
In addition, the company will be highlighting the recently debuted A-Series loudspeakers that combine conventional line array and horizontal array formats for both installation and mobile applications. Arrays of two to four loudspeakers can be deployed horizontally or vertically, covering areas of 50 to 150 degrees. Options include AL60 and AL90 full-range models as well as ALi60 and ALi90 loudspeakers with cabinets designed specifically for permanent installation.
Also on the docket is the 40D amplifier that’s engineered specifically for fixed installation applications. The four-channel class-D design is the company’s most powerful, and it offers a 4.3-inch color touchscreen display showing a range of loudspeaker settings, device status and more.
As noted, d&b Soundscape will also be presented and demonstrated. It’s designed to allow practioners to created high-resolution localization and image of sound objects, and is designed for applications where the primary goal is to utilize sound as a creative tool to increase audience engagement and immersion. The system allows for the positioning of up to 64 sound objects within the sound design and can also modify or create emulated acoustic signatures both indoors and outdoors.
A Soundscape system comprises the DS100 Signal Engine and two software modules — En-Scene for object-based positioning, and En-Space for room-emulation. With system configuration, control and matrix functionality the DS100 can operate in a standalone system management mode or be combined with one or both of two software modules to create a Soundscape.
d&b will be on the ISE 2021 trade show floor at Stand B-104, Hall 2 in addition to presenting the demos at Sala Apolo.
