Danley Sound Labs has announced the availability of the new D series line of power amplifiers, a range of seven models with a class D power stage that are designed to serve both installation and touring applications.

“At Danley, we’re always looking for new technologies and ways to allow for innovation in sound,” says Skip Welch, director of sales & marketing at Danley. “In addition to our DNA series amplifiers, the new D series line offers a new option for our dealers and customers that features a very powerful digital signal processing (DSP) suite and a number of power options to make this amplifier series a very useful tool.”

D series processing includes FIR filtering, dynamic EQ, and Dante networking (optional), all working alongside a DSP architecture that includes four local plus four auxiliary DSP channels (also supplied to the network), meaning a single amplifier can control a stereo 4-way system with no external processing. Additionally, all D series amplifiers incorporate protection circuitry to help protect against over-current protection, short circuit protection, thermal protection and a soft-start function to minimize the inrush current.

“While the nature of sound doesn’t change, the way in which we can help deliver sound does,” ssays Mike Hedden, chief steward in charge at Danley. “We want to continually meet the demand of our customers while also providing new innovative options to meet those demands. Not only does the D series amplifier line do that now, but additional technological features in the works for these products will certainly add value.”

D series models:

— D14K2-ND two-channel rack-mount amplifier with stated 7000 watts per channel;

— D14K4-DSP four-channel rack-mount amplifier with 3500 watts per channel and built-in DSP (D14K4-ND is the non-DSP version);

— D8K4-DSP four-channel rack-mount amplifier with 2000 watts per channel and built-in DSP(D8K4-ND is the non -DSP version);

— D5K4-DSP four-channel rack-mount amplifier with 1200 watts per channel and built-in DSP (D5K4-ND is the non-DSP version).

“The D series amplifiers are available to our dealers now,” Welch concludes. “These amplifiers are another tool in our arsenal to help build powerful experiences for our customers and those who experience sound through our installations and touring rigs.”
