Daktronics Video Display Installed At New Allen ISD High School Stadium In Texas

Daktronics Inc.(Nasdaq:DAKT), installed the display system for the largest single high school stadium in Texas. When Allen ISD kicked off its inaugural season with the new 41 feet tall x 76 feet wide video display, fans were informed and entertained by the custom football scoreboard and HD2000 audio system towering 75 feet above the Eagle Stadium playing field.

Designed and manufactured by Daktronics, the displays are seamlessly integrated with the sound system giving fans an unprecedented visual and audio experience.

Eagle Stadium resembles a collegiate facility with a sunken bowl design and 18,000 seating capacity. The video display, a Daktronics high resolution screen with a 15HD pixel spacing, is 23 feet tall by 38 feet
9 inches wide. There is also an auxiliary scoreboard in the opposite end zone with a message display on the back side which greets arriving visitors.

According to Mike Howell, Daktronics sales, Dallas office, “We’re thrilled to provide the best visual and audio system for Eagle Stadium. What makes Allen ISD especially unique is other Texas high school stadiums of this size are shared by more than one school.”

The video display offers exceptional HD quality with Daktronics world-class video technology and premium LEDs. Eagle fans will experience unmatched wide viewing angles and vivid colors.

Daktronics will also be including its powerful Show Control System with this installation. Touted by experts as the best in the industry, the system provides a combination of display control software, world-class video processing, data integration and playback hardware that forms a user-friendly production solution.

Allen Athletic Director Steve Williams said, “We think we have a first class facility and our video and scoring system are also first class. We couldn’t be happier. Our patrons are excited. Throughout the whole process, we enjoyed a great working relationship with everyone involved.”

Daktronics has about 80 video installations in Texas and the number continues to grow.
