Crown Audio has appointed Phillip Scobee to the position of business segment manager, Tour Sound, where he will oversee the company’s tour sound business strategy and direction including product development, marketing and sales.

Scobee will report to Marc Kellom, senior director of engineering and marketing for Crown.

Before joining Crown, Scobee served as product manager, Concert and Commercial Sound, at Electro-Voice. In this role he handled all elements of product development and support for the live sound market.

Scobee adds, “Crown is recognized as the industry leader in amplifier technology and we are now seeing customers in the tour sound business move toward a systems-based approach with their inventory. Crown is better positioned than any other manufacturer to serve these customers because of the combined resources from other Harman Professional brands. I look forward to the opportunity to lead the tour sound team and bring Crown’s technology to more audio professionals than ever before.”
