Countryman To Debut New Phantom Power Supply At 2020 NAMM Show

Selectable 12, 24, and 48-volt output settings allow the unit to extend battery life for microphones that don’t require 48-volt power.

Countryman will introduce the portable Phantom Power Supply at the upcoming 2020 NAMM show in Anaheim (booth #18406).

The new supply can operate on one 9-volt battery, two 9-volt batteries for extended life, or a 9-volt wall adapter. In addition, selectable 12, 24, and 48-volt output settings allow the unit to extend battery life for microphones that don’t require 48-volt power.

The supply is designed to withstand adverse conditions often encountered in live performance environments, including a die-cast aluminum body and low-profile switches.

Company president Chris Countryman states, “Condenser microphones need solid power for maximum performance, particularly for low noise and high overload. Many mixers and audio inputs provide no phantom power, questionable power, or only provide it in switchable banks. We developed our Phantom Power Supply to deliver the cleanest power and the most options in the smallest possible size.”

The Phantom Power Supply is expected to be available Q1, 2020.
