Community And Sancore Host SynAudCon Audio Education Seminar In China

Community Professional and Sancore Ltd. recently hosted the first SynAudCon seminar to be presented in China.

Christine Howze, vice president of Community, approached SynAudCon with the concept of presenting “Audio Principles & Applications” in China in 2009.

“We have been big advocates of SynAudCon’s audio education seminars for many years,” explains Howze. “The idea of bringing their training to China was something we thought would be terrific. The opportunity to assist in providing additional audio education to Chinese professionals was exciting.”

With SynAudCon on board, Howze coordinated the event with their Chinese distributor; Sancore Ltd., and along with Sancore President Jun Zhu, worked closely with SynAudCon owners Pat and Brenda Brown to manage the seminar logistics.

The two and a half day training was held at the prestigious IAG Club in Shenzhen. More than 50 participants were instructed in “Audio Principles & Applications,” presented by Pat Brown.

The audience consisted of Sencore audio engineers from major cities and audio professionals from all over China. The course was offered in English with Chinese translation provided by Tao Zhang, a US-based audio engineer from Community.

“The audience was very attentive,” Pat Brown said, “very polite and interested. The hospitality was overwhelming and the venue and location were terrific. It was a great teaching experience.”

The seminar provided a full multi-media presentation typical of SynAudCon training seminars. Held in the conference room at the IAG Club, the hotel supplied microphones, an AV screen and projectors. Community ENTASYS loudspeakers and a SynAudCon rack loaded with DSP and amplifiers provided sound reinforcement.

“The SynAudCon seminar was extremely helpful, a terrific education in audio,” Zhu noted at the completion of the seminar. “The important content of core audio theory and sound system conception was explained thoroughly. We were very fortunate to have Tao Zhang, an experienced audio engineer, providing the translation.”

“I hope that we will able to hold more SynAudCon seminars around China in the very near future.”

One attendee from Taiji Limited, in Beijing, said, “This is the most interesting symposium that I have ever listened to. We explored the loudspeaker working principle starting from the most basic electro-acoustic technology. But yet some of the concepts were totally new and different than some of our traditional domestic audio principles.”

In addition to its regular course offerings in the United States, SynAudCon has presented audio education seminars in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chili, England, Germany, India, Jordan, Mexico, Peru, Spain Switzerland and the United Arabs of Emirates.
