CODA Audio has announced the expansion of its HOPS (high output point source) loudspeaker range with the addition of the new HOPS12i.

Designed as a high-output, three-way point source, it incorporates dual high-performance 12-inch neodymium cone drivers (4-inch voice coils) adapted from those found in the company’s flagship AiRAY line array along with proprietary DAC (Dynamic Airflow Cooling) technology.

The HOPS12i offers exchangeable and rotatable waveguides that provide various options for adjusting directivity, and they’re stated to provide solid control all the way down to 300 Hz to help keep energy focused on where it’s wanted and away from where it’s not in order to boost intelligibility.

Both 90- x 60-degree and 60- x 40-degree waveguides are available, and both are rotatable to provide four directivity options. As with the rest of the HOPS range, HOPS12i is complemented by a variety of accessories and mounting options that allow for added flexibility in fixed installations.

In addition, it can be customized in a wide range of colors, and weatherproofing options are also available for demanding environments. The latest versions of CODA’ proprietary amplifier control software (Linus Control V2.2) and prediction software (System Optimiser) both contain new data sets incorporating the HOPS12i.
