Church Sound University Tech Tips To Be Featured On This Week’s NAMM Believe in Music

Courses on Delays For Vocals, Miking The Pastor and Microphone Mechanics slated to appear on BelieveinMusic.tv this Friday (January 22).

Three Church Sound Univeristy (CSU) Tech Tips videos will be featured on this week’s NAMM 2021 Believe in Music )BiM) week, an online celebration available at BelieveinMusic.tv that kicked off today (Monday, January 18) and will run through the end of the week (Friday, January 22).

All CSU Tech Tips sessions provide useful insights on key aspects of the basics of audio for worship, led by instructors with decades of experience. (The entire CSU curriculum is available for low-cost purchase here.)

The three featured sessions for NAMM BiM are slated to run on Friday beginning at 6:20 pm U.S. Eastern time (3:20 U.S. Pacific time). Here’s the schedule:

Delays For Vocals, 6:20 pm U.S. Eastern
CSU instructor Samantha Potter explains using delays as a “thickening agent” for groups of vocals and ensembles.

Miking The Pastor, 6:30 pm U.S. Eastern
CSU instructor Mike Sokol presents four popular methods for miking pastors as well as a few tricks to help in attaining the best sound from each of them.

Microphone Mechanics, 6:40 pm U.S. Eastern
CSU instructor Mike Sokol explains essential principles of microphones, including polar patterns, dynamic and condenser designs, phantom power and more.
