Church Sound Podcast, Episode 12: Audio Tech Ben Ivey

In Episode 12, host Samantha Potter is joined by worship audio tech Ben Ivey for a discussion about sound check, which can be a flurry of never-ending checklists and troubleshooting. They talk about how to approach every sound check from arriving at the church through the beginning of services. Building confidence in skills can make sound check a breeze, and don’t discount organization and repetition.

Bonus: Ben also talks about how 25 tambourines (as compared to 1) creates an SPL increase of 28 dB = [20log(25/1)], and thus can hit 120 dB. (Beware of 25 tambourines.)

The Church Sound Podcast is sponsored by DiGiCo and KLANG:technologies.
