By PSW Staff • February 23, 2009 The new Switchraft SC800 DI The new Switchcraft SC800 instrument direct box converts the outputs of high impedance line level audio devices and musical instruments to low impedance, balanced and isolated mic level signals that can be connected to audio consoles, microphone preamplifiers, effects processors, and other equipment with three-pin XLR inputs. SC800 Technical Specifications: All measurements were taken with a 25 Ohm source into a 1 kOhm load measured on XLR output. Common Mode Rejection Greater than 100 dB at 60 Hz Input Impedance Greater than 150 kOhm at 1 kHz Output Impedance Less than 170 Ohm at 1 kHz Phase Response Less than 3 degrees at 20 Hz Less than 1 degree at 1 kHz Less than 16 degrees at 20 kHz Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise Less than .05 percent (At 20 Hz, +4 dBu) Less than .006 percent (At 1 kHz, +4 dBu) Maximum Input Level +21 dBu (At 2 0Hz with 1 percent THD) +41 dBu (With 20 dB pad engaged) Frequency Response 10 Hz to 40 kHz (+/-0.3 dB, ref 1 kHz) Voltage Gain -23 dB -43 dB (With 20 dB pad engaged) The SC899 is hand-built in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
