WYWU Podcast S1E2: Recording Studio Owner Sean Giovanni

For this episode, we’re speaking with Sean Giovanni, the owner of The Record Shop recording studio and production company based in Nashville. Sean showed up in town at the age of 19 with ambitions of finding a studio job that never happened. Today his vision is much larger and he hopes to impart a bit of hard-earned wisdom into the next generation of aspiring engineers.

Sean also operates Mind Map, a project designed to support artists as they navigate the challenging journey of entrepreneurship in the modern music industry.

I’ll like offer a special thanks to ProSoundWeb, NAMM and Whisper Room for helping make series one of Working Your Way Up possible. Now let’s hear the interview with Sean Giovanni at Summer NAMM 2019 in Nashville…

WYWU Podcast S1E2: Monitor Engineer Mark Frink

For this episode, we’re joined by veteran touring monitor engineer Mark Frink, the author of many articles here on PSW.

Mark has mixed monitors for numerous top artists including kd lang, Dr John, Tony Bennett and many more. Mark has a personal preference for the monitor position and quite a bit of advice for the aspiring audio engineer considering a career on monitor beach.

I’ll like offer a special thanks to ProSoundWeb, NAMM and Whisper Room for helping make series one of Working Your Way Up possible. Now let’s hear the interview with Mark Frink at Summer NAMM 2019 in Nashville…
