CADAC has announced a new chapter in its 50-year history in the form of a new series of digitally steerable loudspeakers for both live and install applications. They will be on display at the company’s booth (#7-S229) at the upcoming ISE show in Amsterdam.

The product range includes nine self-powered loudspeakers stated to provide full-range beam steering and auto EQ functionality, all incorporating Audinate Dante networking interfaces. The C-LINK interface combines digital audio, remote and control via one connection.

The electronics are stated to provide audio power of up to 2,700 watts (RMS), configured with up to 48 amplifier and 48 DSP channels per cabinet. The DSP engines are designed to provide the ability to tune sound, with more than 20,000 FIR filter taps in one loudspeaker. The control software for the loudspeaker systems offers a simplified user interface and direct DSP link in real time.

CADAC digital mixing consoles will continue with operations from the United Kingdom without change, while loudspeaker systems and peripherals will be supported from Germany independently.
