BTX Technologies has announced that the company is now carrying locking IEC power cords to increase reliability in critical applications.
Designed to eliminate accidental plug fall-out, the UL-listed power cords have a patented locking IEC connector on one end and a standard Edison plug on the other.
The locking IEC connector features an internal mechanism that grabs the ground pin on the equipment and prevents the plug from coming out.
To remove the cord easily without damaging the plug or equipment, integrators just pull the red tab, and the plug is ready for release.
The locking IEC power cords are ideal for rental and staging, high traffic areas, mobile applications in which vibration is an issue, or where critical equipment is used, such as in touring racks, fly-packs, and broadcast trucks.
BTX offers the 18-AWG locking IEC power cords in lengths from one to six feet.
