Breaking News: Sound Reinforcment For The Inauguration Of President Barack Obama

Maryland Sound and Clair Global teamed up to provide a wide-spread sound reinforcement system for today’s (January 20, 2009) historic inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States in Washington, D.C.

A crowd estimated by some media outlets to be as large as 2 million strong converged on the Capitol, lining surrounding streets and the parade route to catch a glimpse of history.

The sound reinforcement system deployed by MSI and Clair Global, certainly ranking at the top in terms of overall scope and total area/audience coverage requirements, included JBL VerTec line arrays, Clair I-4 line arrays and a pair of Yamaha PM5-D digital consoles.

In total, more than two dozen delay towers of loudspeakers were utilized to extend coverage several square miles.

We’ll have more detailed coverage of the audio system and team for this event as soon as further information becomes available.
