Bose Professional AMM multipurpose loudspeakers were recently installed in a sound reinforcement update in the worship sanctuary of Connect Church in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Pastor Kyle Horner and his team were seeking ways to feel more engaged with services, and moved the focal point away from one end of the room to the middle. Integrator Whitaker Technologies sought to address the challenges of the rectangular-shaped space with its 16-foot ceilings, creating a theater-in-the-round layout with seating surrounding the central focus of worship. In addition, the stage can rotate.
The configuration created challenges around the equal distribution of sound throughout the space, with the AMM loudspeakers placed in a distributed configuration, joined by ShowMatch SMS118 DeltaQ subwoofers for low-frequency support. The team chose Bose PowerMatch and Powersoft amplifiers programmed with customizable modes drive the loudspeakers, with a Bose ControlSpace processor completing the package.
“We were blown away by the low profile, ease of installation and the design flexibility of the AMM product line,” states Kevin Whitaker Sr., founder and co-owner of Whitaker Technologies. “With a focus on creating a welcoming environment, we used Bose Professional products throughout and now have an ideal audio experience from the parking area, through the lobby and the children’s area, and into the sanctuary, enveloping members in the ideal experience.”
