Blue Microphones Named To Inc. Magazine 2011 List Of Fast-Growing Private Companies

Company ranks No. 1081 on the 2011 Inc. 5000 with three-year sales growth of 267 percent

For the second consecutive year, Blue Microphones has earned a spot in Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 5000, a ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

No.1081-ranking Blue jumps from a No. 1481 rank in 2010. The company reports a 267-percent growth rate over the last three years. The list represents a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.

“We are honored to be included for a second consecutive year in the Inc. 5000, among America’s fastest growing companies,” states John Maier, CEO of Blue Microphones. “We continue to push forward with the development of leading-edge audio products and expanding availability across the globe.

“We are proud of our growth and will continue developing products that integrate updated technologies with the highest quality audio capture.”

Blue Microphones ranks No. 62 in the Consumer Products and Services industry category. While continuing to introduce USB microphone technology into the consumer market, Blue has also furthered its legacy in pro audio by introducing two new professional studio microphones in the past year.

Six new products, multiple awards, several technology patents and expanded retail availability have all contributed to Blue’s high growth rate percentage since 2007.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent.

The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.
