The flagship location of Bar Campari, restaurant/bistro in Vienna, Austria featuring the aesthetics of Italian cafes, has been outfitted by Vienna-based systems integrator Pro Performance, headed by founder Wolfgang Sauter, with a venue-wide sound system utilizing Alcons Audio loudspeakers and supporting components.
As well as the quality sound expected by the customer, containment was also important because there are strict laws in Vienna regarding maximum sound levels, especially in the city center. Alcons VR5 monitors were the choice to meet these criteria at Bar Campari, equipped with RBN202 pro-ribbon high-frequency drivers with patented “Real-90” horizontal and patent-pending vertical dispersion helping to ensure accurate coverage. Specifically, nine VR5 monitors were mounted in the venue on custom-made brackets, with an Alcons 4×2.5kW Sentinel10 amplified loudspeaker controller chosen to manage the system.
Another advantage was the company’s Architect Colour Option (ACO) program, with loudspeakers able to be painted in any of a wide spectrum rs from the European RAL color scheme. To make sure the VR5s and their brackets blended in, Bar Campari owner Peter Friese personally specified a RAL 8017 Chocolate Brown finish.
“Planning, quotation, execution and the result convinced us that we found the right sound partner,” Friese states. “This audio system has allowed Bar Campari to enhance the high quality ambience we offer, helping us to positively influence the mood of our guests. We would recommend Pro Performance and Alcons Audio for the perfect acoustic and visual solution.”
