AVNetworks 2010 Conference At Upcoming PLASA To Tackle Networking Issues

Event will throw light on the issue of networking technologies and protocols, how to make the best use of today's standards and what can be expected in the future

Media company United Business Media is launching AVNetworks 2010, a technology and business conference, at London’s PLASA exhibition on September 15, 2010.

The one-day event will throw light on the issue of networking technologies and protocols, how to make the best use of today’s standards and what can be expected in the future.

The conference is aimed at AV installers, sound engineers, technical officers, rental companies, executives and consultants plus anyone with an interest in the technology and the business of AV networking.

To be held in theEarls Court Conference Centre, AVNetworks 2010 will be chaired by Roland Hemming, an AV industry consultant and commentator, and it will take a multifaceted approach to the subject – with contributions from manufacturers, consultants, installers and rental companies.

AVNetworks 2010 is being produced jointly by Installation Europe and Pro Sound News Europe. Hemming is working closely with both brands to put together a compelling group of speakers and panels.

Sessions on the program of AVNetworks 2010 will include:
• Manufacturers’ panel – which networking standards have they adopted and how do they see the future developing?
• Control and integration – how to ensure that different equipment types can communicate with each other
• Video networking – issues and challenges
• The future of integration with IT and building automation
• What do end users want from AV networks, and what are they actually getting?

Said Hemming: “2011 will be a pivotal year in the development of the next generation of truly integrated audio systems. We need to understand how other industries have solved the problems we still have and what our clients actually want us to deliver. This conference gives a perfect opportunity to learn, discuss and collaborate.”

AVNetworks 2010 is supported by PLASA and will take place on the final day of the four-day show.

Anyone booking tickets to the AVNetworks 2010 conference will also be given free VIP entry to PLASA 2010, including free entry to all other PLASA events, for all four days of the show.

Gold Sponsors of the event are Riedel and Meyer Sound, and Aviom is a Silver Sponsor.
