Aviom Updates D400-Dante & D800-Dante A-Net Distributors

New firmware versions add flexibility to company's personal mixing systems

Aviom has released new firmware updates for its D400-Dante and D800-Dante A-Net distributors that are designed to distribute power and digital audio data to Aviom personal mixing systems.

The new firmware adds the ability to set a static IP address for the D400-Dante and D800-Dante, a feature requested by users with larger, more complex audio networks. In addition, both A-Net distributors now allow users of AES67-capable products to access channels assigned to the D400-Dante and D800-Dante.

“Having more flexible Dante options in the Aviom product line really benefits broadcasters and users with digital consoles as more and more manufacturers are adding a Dante option to their products,” explains Aviom CEO Carl Bader. The updates are available immediately and can be found in the Support section of the Aviom website.

The D400-Dante and D800-Dante are fully compatible with both the original 16-channel Pro16 version of A-Net and the new 64-channel Pro16e version of A-Net, the technology driving the A360 and A320 personal mixers that provide up to 64 channels of monitoring content to be delivered over a single Cat-5 cable. Both distributors can also be used with Aviom’s legacy products, including the A-16II personal mixer.
