AVB Education Takes Center Stage At InfoComm with New Sessions Hosted By AVnu Alliance

Alliance member companies showcasing AVnu-certified and AVB devices at InfoComm Pavilion

AVnu Alliance, the industry consortium that certifies Audio Video Bridging (AVB) products for interoperability, has announced that its 2014 InfoComm initiatives will include several new education sessions which attendees can use for recertification units (RU credits) toward a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification.

The dedicated AVnu Alliance technology pavilion will host ten Alliance member companies showcasing AVB and AVnu-certified demonstrations and products in booth number C11350 at InfoComm Show 2014 in Las Vegas. In addition, the Alliance will host a new line up of in-booth presentations, as well as an industry cocktail party.

The AVnu Alliance Pavilion at InfoComm 2014 will engage visitors with in-booth AVB educational courses from Alliance members every hour. Sponsor members will also treat attendees to an in-booth networking cocktail party on Wednesday, June 18th, from 4:00PM to 5:00PM hosted by Alliance members Biamp Systems, Extreme Networks and Yamaha. Housing a large number of member companies in one pavilion allows visitors to experience the growing AVnu-certified ecosystem and learn more about advancements to AVB.

AVnu Alliance will also be presenting to attendees in two InfoComm sessions as part of the official program. The schedule for the InfoComm sessions is as follows:

Effective Deployment & Management of Large Scale AVB Networks
ISO012 – Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 8 am to 10 am
Speaker: Jeff Koftinoff, Meyer Sound
1.5 RU Credits

How to Design and Specify Systems Using AVB
ISO070 – Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 2 pm to 4:40 pm
Speaker: Rob Boatright, Harman
2 RU Credits

In addition, alliance member Greg Kopchinski from Avid will present AVB for Live Production and Houses of Worship on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10:30 am as a part of the Technologies for Houses of Worship’s co-branded seminar at InfoComm 2014. Those interested in registering for any of the above sessions may do so through the InfoComm 2014 Official Event Explorer.
