Audix Introduces A10 Line Of In-Ear Monitors

Four models offered, including two with extended bass response and two more with Bluetooth capability.
New A10 in-ear monitors from Audix.

Audix has introduced the A10 line of in-ear monitors, which includes the A10 and A10X joined by A10-BT and A10X-BT models that have a Bluetooth 5.0-enabled cable and come with an integrated microphone. The A10 is intended to serve as a detailed in-ear studio monitor while the A10X offers extended bass response.

All models incorporate point source 10 mm drivers with rare-earth magnets that are designed to be phase coherent and deliver a smooth, linear response. They’re housed in a tuned and vented composite shell, with a reinforced wrap-around cable that holds the shell firmly in place.

Custom silicone ear tips have been engineered to provide a comfortable fit and maximum isolation. Three pairs of ear tips are supplied, as is a protective carrying case.

Twisted and braided silver-coated, oxygen-free copper cables have a soft coat jacket, and they’re detachable. Gold-plated MMCX connectors allow for 360-degree cable rotation for quick positioning.

Preliminary specifications for the A10 include frequency response of 18 Hz – 19 kHz, sensitivity of 105 dB (at 1 kHz), and impedance of 35 ohms.

All models in the A10 line will be available later this year. The A10 and A10X have a U.S. MAP price of $279, while the A10-BT and A10X-BT Bluetooth versions have a U.S. MAP of $329.

The new A10 line made its debut at the 2020 NAMM show in Anaheim, where Audix unveiled 14 new products – the most in the 30-plus year history of the company. Other new products include a line of headphones, four condenser microphones, a ribbon microphone and a reference microphone.
