Audix Dante | AES67 Integrated Microphone System Adds Q-SYS

New control plugin allows users to integrate the DN4 and DN43 Dante | AES67 microphone interfaces with the Q-SYS Ecosystem from QSC.

Audix announces the release of a new control plugin that allows users to integrate the Audix DN4 and DN43 Dante | AES67 microphone interfaces with the Q-SYS Ecosystem from QSC.

The new control plugin allows users to choose from eight microphone gain presets, add a low- or high-pass filter, program LED functions, and monitor connection status from a Q-SYS user control interface (UCI). Each of the four channels on the Audix interfaces can be controlled independently. Additionally, the audio from these microphone interfaces will enter the Q-SYS Ecosystem natively (via AES67 or Q-SYS Software-based Dante license, available in early 2020).

Audix introduced the Dante | AES67 Integrated Microphone System at InfoComm 2019. It is an easy to install system that consists of two Dante | AES67 microphone interface models and RJ45-equipped versions of their popular M3 tri-element hanging microphone, the steerable, flush-mount M70 ceiling microphone, and the M55 hanging ceiling microphone.

Audio and all microphone functions — including on-off contact closure and LED status indicators — are available through a single CAT5 – CAT7 cable with RJ45 connections at both interface and microphone. And the gain structures of all Audix RJ45-equipped analog microphones are optimized for their intended placement, providing quality audio at the DSP.

The control plugin is now available to download through Asset Manager, a web-based repository accessible via Q-SYS Designer Software v7.1 or higher.
