Belgium-based manufacturer AUDIOFOCUS has announced that it is launching the new Cyrus Series range of compact loudspeakers at the upcoming ISE 2023 show in Barcelona, with the Cyris CX6 coaxial 6-inch loudspeaker and companion C210S low-profile dual 10-inch subwoofer the first models to be released. The company will be exhibiting at booth #7H400 at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
Cyris CX6 is stated to deliver peak SPL of 122.4 dB in a compact design optimized for short-throw fixed installation and live events, and it can also serve as a fill cabinet in larger performance, conference, and worship settings. A cardioid design permits it to be positioned close to walls or corners without added reflections, while a flared vent manages low frequency distortion. A mic stand insert and optional U bracket allow CX6 to be deployed according to the needs of the application.
The C210S is a dual-vented band-pass subwoofer housing a pair of 10-inch neodymium LF transducers and employing Tetracoil technology and a stated peak SPL of 126.5 dB. With a low-profile design, it is a discreet option for hospitality and leisure installations as well as corporate AV and live events. Audio power is provided by an integral class D amplifier with DSP, allowing it to power multiple CX6 loudspeakers.
“Thanks to some clever design choices, CX6 delivers far more power than industry-standard 5-inch loudspeakers, but its footprint is only fractionally larger,” says AUDIOFOCUS CEO Ann Leroy. “In our listening tests, customers have been blown away by the SPL and intelligibility we achieved with this tiny cabinet. By adding the low-profile C210S, we can now offer a plug ‘n play full range PA package for smaller venues and events.”
Cyris CX6 and C210S are manufactured in Belgium using the same birch plywood and rugged polyurea coating as AUDIOFOCUS professional touring systems.
