Audio-Technica announced the it’s highlighting the recently launched 3000 Series wireless in-ear monitor system, comprised of a rack-mount transmitter with front-panel controls and large OLED display, a compact bodypack receiver, and ATH-E40 IEM headphones, at the 2022 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center (booth 15604).

The system offers wide-band UHF coverage, with 138 MHz of tuning range spanning 470 – 608 MHz in frequency band DF2. Its diversity antennas are designed to ensure stable reception in the most crowded RF environments. Additional features include pan/personal mix controls; a cue mode that allows an audio engineer to monitor several IEM channels from a single receiver; a 3000 Link mode that enables compatibility with 3000 Series wireless microphone components; and network monitoring and control via the Audio-Technica Wireless Manager software.

Both the transmitter and receiver include OLED screens designed to supply optimal readout of key settings and alerts, particularly in low-lighting situations. The transmitter is equipped with balanced XLR inputs and loop output, plus network port.

The bodypack receiver’s headphone amp and ATH-E40 headphone’s proprietary dual-phase push-pull drivers are designed to work together to provide clear, natural sound quality. The receiver is stated operate continuously for up to seven hours when powered by NiMH batteries and charged in the optional ATW-CHG3 or ATW-CHG3N charging stations, the same chargers used by 3000 Series microphone systems UHF bodypack transmitters.

Audio-Technica is also highlighting its AT2040 hypercardioid dynamic podcast microphone that’s designed to excel at isolated/up-close vocal reproduction and rejection of unwanted room noise due to its tight hypercardioid polar pattern. Its engineered to provide smooth, natural sound, while the mic’s multistage windscreen combines a nonwoven filter with foam mesh to provide internal pop filtering, and its specially-designed integrated shock mount helps prevent unwanted noise by attenuating vibration from a boom arm or mic stand.

The XLR output connects to a conventional analog microphone input, providing versatile use with everything from USB audio interfaces to professional mixing consoles. The mic comes standard with a pivoting stand mount, 5/8″-27 to 3/8″-16 threaded adapter, and a soft protective pouch.

“The system and feature set were developed based on market surveys and customer feedback gathered over a number of years,” states Gary Boss, Audio-Technica U.S. marketing director. “We can confidently say that the feature-rich 3000 Series wireless in-ear monitor system continues to deliver Audio-Technica’s promise of making high-quality, dependable audio accessible to all.”
