Audinate Previews New Dante Domain Manager

Designed to secure audio networks from unwanted changes and modifications, while integrators can define specific AV device grouping

At the recent ISE show in Amsterdam, Audinate provided the first look at the new Dante Domain Manager platform. The platform takes a network management approach bringing enterprise-grade system administration to AV.

Dante Domain Manager

So Dante Domain Manager allows administrators to secure their audio networks from unwanted changes and modifications. It provides the ability to scale and segment audio networks regardless of the physical constraints of the network. Further, integrators can define specific AV device groupings, by room, building and site. This allows for the creation of independent Dante Domains and enables a single Dante Domain to encompass multiple IP subnets.

The network domain concept was successfully pioneered by the IT industry to differentiate and manage multiple private networks within the same infrastructure. Audinate is applying this same approach to AV, customizing the features to the needs of AV professionals and end-users.

Dante Domain Manager provides robust security, including user authentication and control, role administration, and integration with Active Directory. System managers gain complete visibility and accountability through a suite of user-defined dashboards, audit trails, alerts, and messages.

AV and IT

“Coupling AV and IT functionality requires deep consideration of the challenges addressed in the design, deployment, and maintenance of AV network systems,” states David Myers, COO, Audinate. “We worked closely with AV and IT integrators, end-users and our partners in the manufacturer community to make sure Dante Domain Manager provides the scale, flexibility, administration, and security of IT to professional AV systems.”

Audinate Dante Domain Manager will be available in the second half of 2017.
