Atlas Sound Debuts New High Performance AH Series Stadium Horns

Atlas Sound introduced three new stadium horn models in the AH Series at InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas.

The AH Series has provided high output, full range paging and musical reproduction at venues across the U.S. for over 10 years.

The three new AH Series models include the AH42-212 (40° x 20°), AH66-212 (65° x 65°), and AH94-212 (90° x 40°). All offer weather resistant construction including UV-resistant molded fiberglass enclosure and a three-stage, corrosion resistant steel mesh filter system that prevents weather and unwanted pests from damaging internal parts.

Each model features a three way design with dual 12-inch woofers, a 1.5-inch exit compression driver midrange and a 1-inch exit HF driver all combined to provide 750 watts RMS power handling in full range mode and up to 106 dB SPL at 1 watt/1 meter.

A specially designed crossover provides frequency division and extensive driver protection for each band pass.

All models have 8-ohm impedance and can be easily bi-amped (LF/MF+HF) by removing an exterior jumper for use with high-powered systems where greater system control and protection is required. (Atlas Model ASP-MG24 speaker controller is recommended for these applications).

Suspension mounting is facilitated via multiple forged eyebolts.

“These new AH series horns are a great addition to an already successful category,” says Steve Young, Atlas Sound VP of sales & marketing. “Our customers have been asking us for larger format device that can be used in bigger stadiums without sacrificing the excellent coverage patterns, intelligibility, or reliability that exists in our current AH models.

These new dual 12-inch models really take this series to the next level and we are excited to be able to have this solution available for larger stadiums, amusement parks, and other similar deployments.”
