At InfoComm 2019, Alcons Audio will be showcasing the Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience for the third time. Continuing its evolution, this year it has triple-A status, as not only will Alcons again be partnering with Astral Spatial Audio, but also with pro mixing solutions by Avid for the first time.
Located in an acoustically optimized-space in demo room W231A at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, hour-long demonstrations of the updated Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience will be at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Tuesday 11June and at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday 12 June – Friday 14 June.
Astro Spatial Audio will demonstrate how using Alcons loudspeakers with its SARA II premium rendering engine delivers clarity and coverage for object-based immersive audio. In addition, during the 3pm demonstration on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Robert Scovill, senior specialist at Avid Technologies, will be talking about live sound, immersive mixing, new Avid systems and how they lend themselves to immersive mix environments.
The Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience system will highlight the company’s extensive range of point-source, point-source array, line-source and line-array products. Products on demonstration will include the C-series reference surround loudspeakers, L-series line arrays, V-series versatile monitors, B-series subwoofers, Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers and more.
Alcons will also be showing its latest products on booth 6881, where company staff and systems integrators, installers and customers from the corporate / events, theatre / Broadway and cinema / residential markets will be happy to discuss their experiences with Alcons systems.
New products on show will include a preview of the LR24 mid-size pro-ribbon line array, which fills the gap between the LR18 (compact mid-size) and LR28 (large format) systems. Along with its extended 1:15 RMS-to-peak power ratio dynamics, lobe-free HF wavefront with accurate projection.
Another new product will be the QR20 modular line-source array column, designed for smaller applications, where SPL and throw requirements are lower but the same unique directivity of the larger Q system solutions is needed
