Ashly Audio has announced the release of new v1.4 firmware update for its FX Series power amplifiers that provides the ability to blend audio sources together in offering more granular control of the outputs as well as the addition of five-band parametric EQ to all input channels to provide tailoring of individual sources.
The FX Series is a range of DSP-equipped amplifiers for a variety of applications, offering a built-in Wireless-Access-Point (WAP) for connection and configuration via WiFi and a web-based software UI.
“Customers are looking for amplifiers that also serve as a one-box solution, something that Ashly Audio has always been a proponent for,” says Ashly Audio general manager Noel Larson. “This free update harnesses cutting-edge mixing capabilities that allow users to customize their FX Series amplifiers to best suit their sound needs.”
The new v1.4 update also includes an enhanced FX Series signal generator that allows users to choose between the noise signals and adjust the output as desired. The upgraded generator also includes a tunable bandpass filter that permits bandlimited noise for applications such as sound masking. It can be tuned to any frequency and can be useful for sound system testing and/or for signaling tones.
Further, the SPDIF input and output on FX Series models, which allows devices to be connected in a linear series, also now permits users to access the signals from different points in the DSP path and assign the output source as desired for added control.
