Arbane Groupe Announces New APG NESS Audio Spatialization Software

Available free of charge to allow audio professionals as well as entertainment and corporate venue operators to experiment with – and possibly implement – immersive sound.

APG, an audio brand of France-based Arbane Groupe, has announced the debut of new NESS audio spatialization software that’s available free of charge to allow audio professionals as well as entertainment and corporate venue operators to experiment with — and possibly implement — immersive sound.

According to Eric Grandmougin, marketing director at Arbane Groupe, explains “NESS isn’t just another spatialisation software: before everything else, it is a human and technical experience. The Wave Field Synthesis principles have been publicly available for decades, and it didn’t seem right to capitalize on knowledge that is freely available. We are merely trying to give back to the audio community, by providing technicians and enthusiasts with a tool that is not only simple to use, but also fairly extensive to create spatialised sound.”

The company adds that with NESS, it aims to offer a robust, reliable spatialization tool based on established audio algorithms and principles. “Our ambition is to create a thriving community of users around NESS in order to tailor its development towards customer needs and expectations,” Grandmougin adds.
