AMX Awarded U.S. Government JITC Information Assurance Certification

AMX has announced it has been approved by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). The JITC Information Assurance (IA) assessment and certification is an essential test and evaluation process for ensuring that equipment can be connected to the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), operate to maximum benefit on their networks and remain secure.

“Some of the world’s most secure organizations, in financial services and government, have relied on AMX technology for years to ensure the highest security standards and superior performance across AV/IT networks,” said AMX Vice President of Government Sales John Hanby. “With JITC IA certification, AMX clearly stands out as a leader in the control and switching industry for highly reliable, safe and advanced equipment.”

With homeland security measures necessitating an overhaul of various information system infrastructures, the U.S. government requires technology that has proven the highest degree of performance, security and scalability.

JITC IA Certification ensures AMX provides the U.S. Department of Defense with secure solutions that are compliant with DoD Directive 8500.01E. The IT security enhancements of AMX certified products allow the software to “lock down” access and adhere to IA security parameters. This prevents unauthorized access to the AMX device in question, prevents spoofing, and blocks over 10,000 kinds of security attacks.
