AmpliVox Sound Systems has introduced an upgraded version of its Digital Audio Travel Partner Plus wireless portable PA system with a 96-channel wireless receiver.

The 96-channel receiver is an upgrade over the previous 16-channel receiver. “The use of wireless communication technology has greatly expanded since AmpliVox and its predecessor company Perma Power pioneered it many years ago,” says AmpliVox CEO Don Roth. “Increased usage has also increased the possibility of signal interference.”

The 96-channel digital wireless receiver operates in the UHF 514-544 MHz frequency range. The system has a 250 watt amplifier, two 6.5-inch woofers and compression tweeter with stated maximum SPL of 127 dB.

The system has built-in wheels and retractable handle, plus a rechargeable battery that is stated to run up to 10 hours on a single charge. A media player with SD card slot, USB thumb drive slot and Bluetooth connectivity are also onboard.

Users are provided with separate volume, bass and treble controls; a 1/4-inch input plus a choice of wireless microphone (handheld, lapel and headset, over the ear). Also included is a wired handheld mic with 25-foot cord. Change-To-Voice priority reduces the volume level of background music to make announcements. The unit is capable of utilizing an additional wireless receiver to enable another wireless presenter.

Bundled packages are available to add tripods as well as additional loudspeakers for expanded coverage.
