American Audio To Unveil New Active Loudspeaker & Amplifier Series At NAMM 2013

New ELS15A 2-way loudspeaker and ELX Series of class A/B amplifiers

At the upcoming Winter NAMM show in Anaheim (booth 6330), American Audio is introducing the new ELS15A 2-way active loudspeaker and ELX Series of class A/B amplifiers.

The ELS15A has a 15-inch low-frequency driver and titanium high-frequency compression driver, as well as high power handling capability and efficiency. The unit includes a high-efficiency switch mode power supply with a class A/B LF power amplifier and a class A/B HF amplifier.

Other facilities include:

—Active signal limiting system with LED indicator on the rear panel
—Treble, bass and volume output control
—Microphone input (XLR and 1/4-inch stereo) with separate mic volume control
—Time aligned electronic crossover
—XLR and RCA line inputs
—XLR through output.

Additionally, the ELS15A is equipped with a full protection system, including DC, overload, short circuit, thermal, on/off mute, and LF/HF limiters.

The injection-molded polypropylene enclosure is durable and road-worthy, and is both flyable and stand mountable.

The ELX Series of class A/B power amplifiers includes three models – ELX2000, ELX3000 and ELX4000 – with power output ranging from 180 watts to 800 watts.

The front panel includes volume knobs and LED meters, and I/O capabilities including XLR and 1/4-inch inputs as well as Speakon and binding post outputs. Fan-cooled, ELX amps take up 2 rack spaces.
