Alcons Audio has teamed up with UK-based company Pulse Cinemas to bring its pro-ribbon loudspeaker systems to the British home cinema market.

Founded in 2003 by managing director Mike Beatty and technical director Kapes Patel, Pulse Cinemas’ aim is to provide UK installers with high-quality cinema and AV systems, along with training, technical assistance and promotional support.

“My first experience of an Alcons pro-ribbon system was at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show in 2019,” says Kapes. “I was very impressed with the system’s ability to deliver an engaging, powerful performance in the often very challenging environment of a trade show floor.”

Formally introduced to the Alcons Audio team in 2020, Kapes and Mike began discussions to bring Alcons on board. “One of the key aims of the home cinema market is to bring the performance of the best professional cinemas into the home environment. This is no easy task and there are very few systems that can claim to do that,” Kapes continues.

“By using the same technology in both its professional and domestic systems, Alcons has both the products and experience to truly deliver the best home cinema possible. We are very excited to have this opportunity to show the UK market just how good Alcons pro-ribbon systems are.”

Pulse is based close to London in Stansted, Essex, and has demonstration facilities at both its head office and in central London, where it will be showcasing Alcons home cinema systems. One of the reference suites is currently being fitted out with an Alcons system and managing director Mike Beatty highlights how excited the 12-strong Pulse team is.

“By adding Alcons to our portfolio, we are not only offering world class products to our customers, but we can also leverage the rest of our services around one of the best AV brands on the planet. These include training, system design, marketing support, attendance at industry showcases (restrictions permitting) and hosting promotional/inspirational events at our headquarters,” he says. “Together, Alcons Audio and Pulse Cinemas will be a very powerful proposition and we can’t wait to get started.”

Tom Back, co-founder of Alcons Audio adds, “With Alcons, it’s never about the numbers, it’s all about end user satisfaction. Teaming-up with quality Pro-Ribbon Partners like Pulse Cinemas, who know how to bring a high-end solution to the residential market, is the perfect basis for the right brand positioning and support of our pro-ribbon systems.”
