AirTurn has introduced the goSTAND, a sturdy, portable microphone stand that supports digital tablets and other gear while adjusting to uneven surfaces and varying base circumferences.
Less than 18 inches when folded, it fits into most backpacks and carry-on luggage, while fully extended, it is 58 inches high. Extended legs create the same footprint as most mic stands. Steel tubing gives the stand its weight of 2.6 pounds to keep attached objects stable and secure.
Gear can be mounted on the stand using a standard 5/8-27 mic thread fitting on top with a locking nut. The goSTAND is suitable for both seated and standing musicians. It works with all AirTurn tablet mounting systems.
Additionally, AirTurn is offering the goSTAND telescoping boom, a collapsible accessory that can be mounted using a standard 5/8-27 mic thread. Fully collapsed, it’s 16 inches in length and less than 1.3 pounds.
“Since its inception, AirTurn has committed itself to improving the stage experience for musicians, speakers and presenters,” says Lester Karplus, director at AirTurn. “From our digital, hands-free page-turners to our digital tablet mounts and accessories like the goSTAND and goSTAND telescoping boom, it is our goal to offer the most intuitive, easy to use portable tools. We free the musician or presenter to focus on the creative process while we simplify the mechanics.”
Pricing for the goSTAND is $59, with the telescoping boom priced at $29. Both products are available at the AirTurn store (here).
