Accell Unveils New ProUltra Thin Cable Series

Accell announced the newest addition to the company’s expanding product line, the ProUltra Thin cable series.

Featuring a thin, flexible cable design and a compact connector, the ProUltra Thin cable series boast High Speed with Ethernet HDMI functionality and enhanced connectivity for home theater systems.

Accell’s ProUltra Thin cable series support all video resolutions, including 1080p, 4K and 3D video and color depths up to 48-bits. In addition, they also include a built-in Ethernet and Audio Return Channel (HEAC) and are High Speed certified, supporting data throughputs of up to 10.2Gbps.

“Accell’s line of cables are ever-evolving and this latest series was created to be nearly 50% thinner than a conventional HDMI cable,” stated Michael Weizer, director of marketing, Accell. “Its soft and thin 36AWG wire allows for an exceptionally tight bend radius.

“Combined with its compact connector, the ProUltra Thin cables greatly reduce the space behind today’s extremely-thin wall mounted displays.”

The ProUltra Thin cable series include a connector area that is up to 45% shorter than that found on a traditional HDMI cable. This compact, low-profile connector design, measuring just 0.96 inches in length, provides easy installation behind ultra-thin flat-panel TVs, allowing for a near flush mount fit with the wall.

Accell’s ProUltra Thin HDMI cables have a starting MSRP of $19.99 and are available in both round or flat cable type, in lengths of 3.3 ft. (1m) and 6.6 ft. (2m). The company’s extensive product lines will be available through Accell’s traditional distributor and retail channels.
