The Key Club, a new upscale restaurant in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami slated to open this month, has been equipped with a sound reinforcement system able to serve live DJs as well as deliver distributed audio in a project implemented by New York-based live production and installation company Anthem SSL Productions that utilizes a range of loudspeakers from 1 SOUND.
The latest brainchild of David Grutman and his Groot Hopitality organization in Miami, The Key Club is an Americana grill with a Brazilian-inspired décor offering 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining. Groot Hospitality worked with Anthem Productions on the project and suggested that in addition to high-quality audio, it would be an advantage to utilize loudspeakers with a custom natural wood aesthetic to match the restaurant’s interior design.
1 SOUND, which manufactures its products in New Jersey, was able to build the system’s main Cannon C6 and Tower LCC44 loudspeakers specified by Anthem Productions with a finish matching a sample provided by Groot. The project also includes 1 SOUND SUB310 and SUB12 subwoofers to enhance the low end, and they’re discretely distributed in the space.
“The challenge with this install was to match the speakers to the designers’ creative woodwork,” says Angelo Poulos of Anthem Productions. “Not only does 1 SOUND deliver with the audio quality but they deliver with the detail as well.”
