1 SOUND has announced the introduction of the SUB215, a new double 15-inch subwoofer stated to produce maximum SPL of 140 dB in a design for larger installed sound applications, and it will be on display at the company’s demo room — W221A — at the upcoming InfoComm 2023 show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Measuring 17.8 inches wide when deployed vertically and 17.8 inches tall when positioned horizontally, the cabinet includes a pole cup accessory for deployment with the company’s CT28 full-range loudspeaker and any other model as well. There are also proprietary rigging points to attach a Tower rigging system for stacking a Tower LCC44 or LCC84 loudspeaker on top.
Stated frequency response of the new SUB215 is 30 Hz to 120 Hz (-6 dB preset dependent), with power handling of 3600 watts (program) and 1800 watts (AES). The cabinet is constructed of Finland birch plywood (urea glue) with matte salt and UV resistant coating, with 316 stainless steel hardware and 3D spacer mesh fabric. Weight is 133.8 pounds, with detachable wheels for easier transport.
As with all 1 SOUND loudspeakers, the SUB215 is IP55 rated and saltwater resistant with custom colors and finishes available.
