L’Acoustics 112XT and 115 XT

Jeff Cox and Paul Freudenberg of L’Acoustics

Jeffrey Cox is always smiling at tradeshows, and why shouldn’t he be? People keep buying VDOSC boxes, and I get the sense that not many of the purchasers are asking for their money back. L’Acoustics USA has now hired Paul Freudenberg as their Director of Sales and Marketing, and they are also working with Michael McDonald’s new consultancy.

The newest products showcased by L’Acoustics at NSCA were two smaller co-axial speakers, the 115XT and the 112XT. Both cabinets have the ability to function as a floor wedge, as well as a main on a stick, or flown on a yoke. There are skids on the bottom to thankfully reduce coupling with stages, when it is being used as a monitor.

L’Acoustics supplies parameters for the user to enter into crossovers, and there are different settings for monitor or mains use. This box would be good for under-balcony fills in a larger venue, as well as mains use in clubs or small theatres, and at corporate events. It is intended for both sound company and installed applications.
