MSP10 biamp studio monitor
from Yamaha

The Yamaha MSP10 studio monitor offers a biamp design, with a 4-ohm 8-inch cone woofer driven by a 120-watt power amplifier, and a 8-ohm 1-inch titanium dome tweeter with its own 60-watt power amplifier, resulting in balance between low-mid and high frequency ranges. Dispersion is 120 degrees.

Line-level electronic crossovers feature steep 30 dB/octave roll-off curves in both low and high-pass filters. The result is minimal inter-modulation at the crossover point, and smoother performance in the critical midrange.

Constructed of high-quality MDF (medium density fiber) material, the MSP10 Studio enclosure features internal bracing, a precise 2-mm edge radius, and a multiple layer lacquer finish to ensure resonance-free operation..

The rear panel features balanced XLR inputs, an input sensitivity control, response trim switches for both the woofer and tweeter, and an 80Hz low cut switch that is useful when using the MSP10 Studio with the SW10 subwoofer.

The MSP10 Studio is currently available at an MSRP of $1,800 per pair. An optional bracket (Model BWS251-300) is also available for wall mounting.
