CLUBHOUSE JOINS THE GENELEC CLUB
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Genelec 1031A speakers and 1094A sub create a 5.1 surround
monitoring array, which is rapidly becoming the reference standard
throughout the music recording industry
111th AES CONVENTION, NEW YORK, NY, November 30, 2001
As part of its expansive new two-studio facility in Rhinebeck, NY,
Clubhouse has purchased and installed an all-Genelec 5.1 surround
monitoring array, consisting of five Genelec 1031A Active Monitors,
and a Genelec 1094A subwoofer. This array provides Clubhouse with
monitoring accuracy, as they join the growing community of studios
that now consider Genelec the standard reference monitor of the
business.
Clubhouse, founded by studio President Paul Antonell 15 years ago,
was moved from its original Germantown, NY location to a brand new,
ground-up facility in historic Rhinebeck, where construction was
completed last August. The facility offers a 31' X 29' tracking
space with three large isolation booths, and a 23' X 21' control
room. The facility design was created by Antonell and engineer/producer
John Holbrook. Clubhouse is noted for its dedication to vintage
analog gear, including its Neve-Studer console/tape deck combination,
as well as a large collection of classic guitar microphones and
amplifiers.
When you have equipment thats this good, you want to
be able to monitor it as accurately as possible, explains
Antonell. Beyond that, the Genelec speakers have become the
reference standard for much of the industry in this region. Having
the Genelecs gives us compatibility with most of the major facilities
throughout New York and the rest of the country. Genelec is what
producers and engineers seem to want, and considering the way they
sound, Im happy to provide them.
Genelec, the pioneer in Active Monitoring technology, was founded
in 1978 and has concentrated its efforts and resources into the
design and manufacturing of active monitoring loudspeakers with
unparalleled sonic accuracy. Genelec has been credited with promoting
the concept of active monitors, a trend in technology that some
manufacturers are just now incorporating into their products. Genelec
has a complete line of active main, mid-field, and near-field monitors
for application in the post-production, project studio, broadcast,
TV and CD mastering markets.
