Crest Exhibits Versatile New X-Matrix Expander Module

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

111th AES CONVENTION, NEW YORK, NY, September 21, 2001 - Crest Audio is showing the new X-Matrix Expander Module, which adds tremendous levels of flexibility and enhanced versatility to the Crest X-VCA mixing console. In addition, the new X-Matrix Expander Module can be used as a stand-alone, self-contained, matrix mixer.

As a companion product to the critically acclaimed Crest X-VCA console, the X-Matrix expander provides the facilities to derive additional matrix mixes from the X-VCA console, (fed from 8 groups, left, right, mono, and an external input). Up to 4 units may be powered directly from the X-VCA, yielding a 12 x 12 matrix on the X-VCA - even more can be added using the optional external power supply.

Using optional external power supplies, the X-Matrix can also serve as a stand alone matrix mixing system capable of an almost unlimited number of inputs and outputs - great for theater or fixed installation applications.

Whether used in conjunction with the X-VCA console or as a stand-alone matrix expander, multiple X-Matrix units can be daisy-chained together, creating almost unlimited possibilities.

Other features of the new Crest X-Matrix Expander include: front-panel rotary-type potentiometers; 1/4-inch TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) balanced inputs and XLR-type output connectors; insert send and return points on each channel; and LED level and master level control for each channel.
