The 30 Series offers all the advantages
of high-quality microphones at an affordable price. In addition
to their rugged construction and high performance specifications,
the new 30 Series feature the legendary reliability of Audio-Technica's
modern engineering and manufacturing technology. This provides
an exceptional level of consistency from model to model, critical
when any of the 30 Series are purchased in pairs. Three models
comprise the 30 Series: the AT3035 large-diaphragm side-address
cardioid condenser microphone, and the AT3031 cardioid and
AT3032 omnidirectional small-diaphragm condenser microphones.

The AT3035 is a precision-crafted large-diaphragm microphone that
represents an exceptional value while offering all the performance
advantages of a high-quality studio microphone. Designed to provide
versatility in the most demanding recording applications, the AT3035
has a fixed cardioid polar pattern and features excellent performance
specifications, including: a flat, extended frequency response (20-20,000
Hz); high SPL handling capability (148 dB, 158 dB with the 10 dB
pad); and an element yielding extremely low self-noise (12 dB SPL).
Every aspect of the AT3035 has been tailored for a very smooth,
natural sound while ensuring maximum accuracy, making it a perfect
complement for today's digital recording equipment.
To ensure optimum performance and isolation from noise and vibration,
the AT3035 comes standard with a newly-engineered professional shock
mount. The microphone requires 11-52V phantom power and has a switchable
low-frequency roll-off (at 80 Hz, 12 dB/octave). The high-pass position
reduces the microphone's sensitivity to popping in close vocal use
while reducing the pickup of low-frequency ambient noise (traffic,
air-handling systems) and mechanically-coupled vibrations.
The low-profile AT3031 cardioid condenser and AT3032 omni condenser
microphones offer outstanding performance in critical recording
applications. Both models have a frequency response of 30-20,000
Hz; high SPL handling capability (as high as 148 dB, 158 dB with
the 10 dB pad); 48V phantom power operation; and a switchable roll-off
(at 80 Hz, 12 dB/octave).
"The new AT3035, 3031 and 3032 represent the next generation
of our popular 30 Series microphones," stated Michael Edwards,
market manager for studio/broadcast products. "The same design
team responsible for our critically-acclaimed 40 Series microphones
developed the new 30 Series. They know the importance of maintaining
high-quality sound, reliability and consistency throughout the entire
line. The new 30 Series meets and exceeds all those criteria."
The new 30 Series is available immediately with MSRP's of $349.00
for the AT3035 and $259.00 each for the AT3031 and AT3032.
