WFMT Chicago is a unique radio station that is dedicated to classical music and fine arts programming, yet operates on a commercial basis. “We’re sort of a hybrid radio station, commercially licensed and owned by a not-for profit. What sets us apart from any other station in the country is the amount of live remote broadcasts that we do,” says WFMT Director of Operations Don Mueller. “We had 30 live broadcasts from different venues across the city in April alone.”… View this post

Sennheiser’s newly launched Digital 9000 wireless system was in use at the recent Bruno Mars and Paloma Faith concert held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in April. This event marked the first time that the system was used for a live concert in the Middle East. In addition, a number of Sennheiser’s wireless systems, microphones and in-ear monitors were also used at the concert. “Given the singer’s popularity, Bruno Mars’ appearance in Dubai has been a widely anticipated event,”… View this post

Each week, the HouseGuests vote to evict one of their own until two HouseGuests remain on finale night. The winner is decided by the last seven evicted HouseGuests, known as the Big Brother Jury.… View this post

    Kent Margraves 04/26/13 07:10 AM,
I mix several worship services, but recently had a chance to enjoy a couple of productions from the audience’s perspective (a rare experience!). As an audience member, I was soon reminded of the fact that audio techs sometimes forget (or just don’t know) about audio gain staging for wireless microphones. The clipped (overloaded, distorted) sound on the wireless head-worn microphones during loud vocal passages was certainly distracting—no one wants to hear that! Audio people soon learn that every sound system… View this post
