London-based Britannia Row Productions has been with singer/guitarist Robert Smith and The Cure for most of that time, since 1979, providing global touring support for the post-punk group, which is currently out on the road with L-Acoustics K1/K2 arrays. Aside from a few short jaunts and various one-offs at major festivals, “The Cure Tour 2016”—which played 33 shows in North America this spring and is now journeying through 34 shows in 17 European countries—marks the first real outing for the… View this post

The design of a new sound system for the sanctuary of The Pentecostals of the Fox Cities in Menasha, WI, was particularly challenging. This 500-seat auditorium has a 12-foot ceiling, dictating loudspeakers that are very compact in order to not detract from the room’s aesthetics. To meet this requirement, we chose premium two-way loudspeakers, with six of these cabinets flown in their horizontal cabinet position (with mid/high-frequency horns rotated), carefully placed in a distributed, decentralized arrangement. Largely due to compact… View this post

Gand Sound Installations recently installed NEXO GEO M620 loudspeakers at company owner, Gary Gand’s high school alma mater. The installation at Deerfield H.S. in Deerfield, IL was an upgrade to the school’s existing 900-seat auditorium system. The DHS auditorium is a proscenium-style theater used for assemblies and productions of dance, musical theater, and concerts by soloists and large ensembles. The auditorium’s stage house measures 3,200 square feet with a proscenium that is 35 feet wide, 18 feet high, and a… View this post

‘Aldo Giovanni e Giacomo’ are three well-known Italian comic performers, currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of their comedy career, with over 200,000 tickets sold. The 2016 tour, which also featured live orchestral music from the Good Fellas, was an important one for sound rental company Joint Rent, based in Ravenna. The design of University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, is singular in an already innovative universe of sports venues. Opened in August of 2006 with a retractable roof and the nation’s first fully-retractable natural grass-playing surface, the facility’s entire playing field is able to roll outside of the building via an opening on one side of the stadium.      In keeping with the organization’s long-standing commitment to elevating the fan experience, the Arizona Cardinals unveiled… View this post
